Selectv Whats peoples throught

I have subscribed to selectv last year and had comming up 6 months it is good value for money but the variety is nothing compared to foxtel austar ect . i know it is cheaper and there new kid on block. And think its great no lock in own equipment ect. Do people think as time goes on they will get bigger variety and more channels or foxtel/austar will lock them out ect and make deals to keep all other channels ect

Re: Selectv Whats peoples throught

cant say ive looked at select tv that much.
i like the idea of no contracts and own equiptment.

looking the their available channels just then, wish they had a few other channels in there that the family watch. if they had a bigger variety they might give foxtel and austar a run for their money, maybe push them to become cheaper, or change their package options, or just select each channel.

Ive looked at them a number of times but havnt gone ahead with it. I keep hoping they will get a bigger lineup. What they offer is pretty good for the money, especially compared to Foxtel's ripoff packages.

The day that any company starts to offer a channel by channel selection is the day we will truly have some choice.
I would happily pay $5 per month per channel if you could choose the ones you wanted. Minimum 5 channels or something like that to make it worthwhile for cable company.

$5 per channel min 5 per month sound like a good deal, but no company will do it cos all the good channels cost them heaps more, so they give u the cheap shitty ones with one channel for a ripp off price. selectv is good for someone who doesnt want to go into contract and doesnt watch much tv.
