Re: where did u buy your gamma from?
The goldies were pushed just to run Irdeto1, it took some clever programming to get them to handle it, Irdeto2 is a lot more CPU and memory intensive.
As far as we in Australia know, Irdeto2 has only been hacked by the gammateam, or Irdetofookers as they are also known. It was them that released the public details we used to write to a gamma card to get them to work. Austar killed those details and no new ones have been released. The white sellers cards are still an unknown. There is some speculation they are the same as the "gamma" but the OS is definately different, and both are currently just as secure as the genuine I2 cards. Another theory is that the sellers card is completely different to a gamma, and another theory is that the white cards are "blank" 4.1 cards that somehow escaped There is also speculation that the sellers can "convert" a gamma to a a whitey, but so far no seller has come forward and confirmed it. The fact is that the gammateam and their legion of sellers have cards available for two of the providers in this country that use Irdeto2, austar and UBI. UBI are only V5+ where Austar have both V4.1 and V5+, yet the UBI sellers cards identify themselves in the ATR as 4.1. It is pretty certain that the gammateam have compromised both the Irdeto OS and the Algo, and can generate working details at random for the particular provider group, so even when the algo is changed, as Nova and UBI did, the sellers can log the change and adapt their cards as well for the new algo. This seems to be the case with the new UBI sellers cards, they are working despite the change in algo, as are Nova gammas in Europe, the gammateam release a public file that changed the algo within two days of the roll by Nova. The white cards used by the sellers and the gamma cards both have a dedicated encryption chip, and the encrypted commands are sent to the cards to code it after the OS is loaded, there has been only basic interpretation of some of the commands in the public gamma file, nowhere near enough to reverse engineer it or determine a complete set of details, and us non sellers still do not have the sellers OS, not even a sniff, the sellers are keeping it all very close to their chest . Unfortunately the only way for now to get a working non sub card for austar or ubi is to buy one from a seller, maybe one day a seller will let slip the package and we will be able to write our own cards, but Im not holding my breath for that day, if that day does come then its probably bye bye austar unless the change to NDS
