New Wii Mobo (pretty much disables modding of ease)

take a look at those pics.

They cut the pins directly from the chip


BTW would this be the 3rd revision?

So i assume those pins are the ones needed to solder some wires to, to connect to the modchip?

yea 3 pins needed to install a wiikey

i dont know looks hard. would you have to solder it striaght onto the 'liitle' metal still on the chip? and not heat the chip too much.

using a dremel on a chip about 15mmX 15mm is not for the faint hearted either...lol

Thats why I sent mine to you Mick.....I get the shakes with that sort of thing...

LOL..you should get it tomorrow or Friday mate as already sent back.

I don't use the dremel, I do it a much safer, neater way now.

This thread is quite old but im guessing you use the razor blade method (very professional looking) or you rebuild the legs and solder directly to the little bit of leg left.

I have yet to recieve a D2B with cut legs . I mainly resell and only install when the customer cannot or the customer stuffs up.

Just hoping this new D2C chip is hacked soon so I can get a little more busines

no don't use razor blade either.
I use a points file and NEATLY remove the required amount and either rebuild the legs or connect wires to exposed legs on chip.

Supposedly a developmemt woth d2c chips coming within a few weeks, 20 odd point chips again though unfortunately.
