NBN & Channel 9

Is the NBN Rugby League telecast fed direct from Channel 9 or does it
come into NBN then they telecast it?

Is there a reason NBN can't change the Friday night games around?
Tonight we have the Knights playing Brisbane in Brisbane for a spot in
the finals but the people of Newcastle and northern NSW have to wait
till 9.30 to watch it and around 11.30 (if it is a close game) to get a
result (if they don't want to listen to it on the radio).

Fair enough the first game Dragon V Rooters will be a great game but you
would think a Newcastle broadcaster would pull out all stops to have
their local team on at a decent hour. How many people will resort to
listening to the pathetic Gary Harley then not watch it at all.

You'd think the people of South QLD with NBN would also prefer to see
the Bronco's game first. It's almost like being in Melbourne wanting to
watch a Storm game on the TeeVee.

The guy on 2HD of a morning was saying that you can choose which game
you want with a high def set top box, is this true?

no, only if you've got fox and only when there are two matches
simultaneously, like Saturday 7:30. Friday games are on channel 9. C9
dictates what gets watched. In brisbane it will be on live but not in
Sydney, or newcastle it seems. Unless c9 changes its mind.

We're stuck with the Sydney game. God knows why we can't choose given
the amount of digital channels all showing the exact same thing here.

Ask the Federal Govt. They wont allow multi-broadcasting in Australia.

From the start of next year, the commercial channels will be allowed to
multi-channel on SD (they do it now, but only on HD).
