LoL.
3 weeks for spitting during a game because some numbnuts ref wannabe
has an insecurity complex.
"NRL prosecutor Peter Kite had recommended a ban of between nine and
11 matches for the "reprehensible" act."
Good thing he didn't admit to taking banned drugs for the last 10
years or the NR-Hell would have really thrown the book at him.
Well done to the NR-Hell jokediciary for once again proving that
standards are important in the NR-Hell despite them naming junkies as
'the player of the century'.

I only saw a replay of that incident, but it looked to me as though
McKinnon wasn't even facing the touchie when he let the spittle fly,
Hilder looked to me as though he lined up his target for a full
facial.
This just smells dodgy.

it's obviously a plot to help manly, we're playing the warriors in week 1
it looks like, unless the knights can beat the broncs.

no hang on, it's a plot to help the knights. even if they lose tomorrow
the warriors are less likely to beat the eels without mckinnon, so the
knights will still make the 8. yeah it's a plot to help the knights.
ruud (that's good, I hope we play the knights in week 1, i want to see us

Watch it get over turned on appeal. Three weeks is a joke. To me, he either
should have got 10 weeks or got off. Three weeks is silly. You have to
wonder, Hodges got a week for a signal to a linesman, and now McKinnon gets
three for spitting - and he doesn't even come close the knob jockey they
call linesmen. To me Matai should have got three weeks, Hilder one week and
McKinnon an apology from the NRL.

LOL! Still a bit bitter about 1997?
"NEWCASTLE HAVE WON THE GRAND FINAL" (sic)...afterall, it was only the
semi final. The Grand Final occurred in Round 8 of 1998 when the
Broncos won the Grand Final by defeating the Knights.
Broncos, the sole champions of 1997.

They should have played two games. One under ARL rules and another
under Super League rules.

Well, you won't be playing against McKinnon, but will have Matai back.
You won't need him against the Panthers.

Now I remember why it was always so insufferable to have Manly in
contention. You are one-trick-ponies in attack, and need to hope Lyons
can give you some attacking and kicking options when he gets back
(this week?) or you could struggle with the Knights. Both Melbourne
and Saints have more football in them than Manly, and I reckon could
trouble you in the finals, the Sharks have less football but more
mongrel (even without their main mongrel) in 'em and are going to be a
PITA for a lot of sides.
Despite that, you're an 80% better chance than Brisbane running into
the finals, indifferent attack, indifferent defence; we're not going
too far into September imo. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the
Knights get past us this week, BS has always been able to get his
sides up to play the Broncos, other than in GF's, anyway
