Blues deserve win.

Sick in the guts, but we played poorly for 4 quarters
forward line never functioned
smashed in the ruck
poor delivery to our forwards and Rocca played one of his shockers, i
mean give us a break Waite isnt that good, Rocca made him look better.

Carlton were more hungry, rellentless pressure, and Fev put the result
beyond doubt, now with 2 wins from 4 games and some tough games coming
up the pies are back with the pack, todays loss was a shocker.

Carlton had to eventually beat their arch enemy, and they did it in
style
so for the first time in 14 Afl games, their club song was belted out,
and to blues supporters is music to their ears, for Collingwood, basic
errors today.

no accountabilty
no pressure
no manning up
poor delivery to the forwards
poor conversion rate

Much work to do to even consider competing in this years Afl finals
for Carlton a big step forward today, and yes theres light at the end
of the tunnel, if Carlton can continue to play 4 quarters of consistant
footy, they will win many games this year, confidence is a big thing and
a win can only do them good, i actually dont think Collingwood paid
Carlton any respect today, and just expected it to happen........

Pies you were beaten by aside that through media this week kept on
about the record losses in the clubs history probably fueled their
passion to win, the pies missed Scotty Burns , his toughness around the
ball.
Collingwood from a side that took Geelong to within 5 points in the
finals in 2007, looked very pedestrian today.

Well done Carlton an upset , but well deserved.

Good post BA, and it's good to see a Magpie admitting
they were beaten by a better side on the day.
It was a good game, hard and tough with some good
skills on display from both sides.
Rocca was average but the delivery to him was bad,
mainly due to Carlton's midfield pressure.
Juud, Stevens and Murphy were good all day but
Simpson, Carrazzo, Scotland, Gibbs and Hadley also put
in good ones and Cloke worked his arse off in the ruck
and around the ground. (Thanks for swapping him for
Chris Bryan by the way).
Umpiring was generally OK, a few soft ones,
particularly one to Fevola which is unusual, but also
a high tackle by O'Hailpin clearly missed followed by
a Simpson goal.
Stevens' report must go down as one of the weakest
ever, so the umps had some shockers but didn't affect
the result.
We just managed more clean delivery to Fevola than
Collingwood managed to their two key forwards, and
Leon Davis, Thomas, Didak and Co. weren't at the drop
of the ball as much as they usually are.
Stevens and Grigg kicked a couple of flukey ones and
there was still only 4 goals in it so the game was
really a lot tighter than it seemed.
Huge crowd, which was a credit to both teams, and win
or lose it was a great game of football.
