Let it slide. This isn't even spam. It's just a copy'n'repost of some article ripped off from somewhere else. I don't care for that kind of thing myself, and there are a few people who are regulars here who do it all the time. e.g Bodhi The only real legitimate beef you can have is that it might be a plagarism. Other than that, you're trying to censor somebody. The message isn't really off topic in this newsgroup from what I can skim off it. The kind of spam I worry about is the kind that comes as email. Like the kind I'm getting when a certain somebody here sent me an email as one of multiple recipients (the kind you see with a whole lot of email addresses in the "to:" field of the header. Boys and girls, perhaps I should post a seperate message on this topic. Whenever your name appears as one of many, many recipients of a message, your email address has just been exposed to lots of people, and if ONE of them has a virus "zombie server" running, you'll be on a spammer's list. My Yahoo email account is pretty good about catching spam, but since I got that one message, I get several spams a day from somebody. The messages are smart enough to get past Yahoo's filters. But strange be it, they all point you to the same website. The address of the website is on an image, which the filter can't read, I guess. I got half a mind to go after those little pricks myself... |
