As Clarkson said himself...Its not WHAT you drive but HOW you drive it in
regards to fuel economy. Lets do that test now at an average speed of 60
km.h huh? Only idiots would think that a M3 would win that comparison.

your gutless little 1.5L Prius petrol motor is running then and having to
lug around all that now essentially useless weight comprising the batteries
and electric motor. I think you might just be surprised just how close it
might be at 60kph, now stop start gutter crawling at 10kph would see the
Prius actually shine.

Or maybe only an idiot would *think* of that comparison? Your're right in
that the test was done to illustrate Clarkson's point - which *wasn't*
that given sufficiently ridiculously restrictive parameters, a hybrid will
always be the most economical choice.

BTW, choose to comment on his observations regarding its total
environmental footprint? Cheers

Every time I read one of lur's rants the more I'm convinced that lur
