"IF"

If someone said to you, here is $250,000 cash, go and buy yourself a car and
keep the change....what would you buy/do?
I would buy myself a new LPG fitted Patrol (only because I reckon they drive
better than the Landcruiser) with a Johnno's camper trailer and take twelve
months off for a trip around OZ. Then what's left, pay it off the mortgage.

This could be an interesting topic if you are all serious and not be stupid,
just to see what your lifestyles are.

Buy a base model TK Barina with the 20% discount I'm entitled too and donate
it to charity then either invest, play the stock market and/or buy another
house with the remainder.

I'd search the world for pristine models of my 'lux (that might be
difficult
to find) - Thought about a round AU. trip, done some of it, however
meh.

Isn't it interesting to see what diverse lives we all lead with our choices.
Thanks guys, hopefully we will get quite a few more ideas when most come
home from work tonight.

Probably buy myself a Subbie Liberty 3.0R spec.B, then pay off my mortgage
and spend the other $150,000 on Flying lessons, I have always wanted to
learn to fly but time and money never actually got around to meeting, when I
had the time, I didn't have the money, you get the picture :-)
and maybe a nice family holiday without worrying too much about a budget :-)

Bloody nice car, hey! Not quite big enough for me unfortunately, but has
always been a nice vehicle. I've had quite a few Subeys.

Same here.

I most certainly do as I fit that picture too. The local flying club here
now can get you into a trainer (for a full licence) for less than $200 hr. I
was hoping to ask OzOne what was the best way of going around it but never
got around to it.

Now wouldn't that be a friggin' change! Instead of trudging up to the
supermarket to keep costs down, you could just live it up each night.

Buy the cheapest toy car I can find at Paddy's markets (shouldn't be
more than a buck) and put the rest into shares.

Why would you do anything else?
