Don't take sides with Ronald regarding anything mechanical, he's the village
idiot.

A bloke in Lara has built his own D type replica, last time I saw it it
was still a bit rough but not bad for a first effort and the mechanicals
are mostly VN Commodore so not expensive.

Saw something about them a few years ago and got the idea they were in
the Havelock North area. Not sure they are still there

I wonder if they are the same guys who alter MKII Jaguars?

By alter, I mean, shoe-horn a V12 in it, XJ40 rear end, electric winows
that opperate by pushing the winow winder forward and back, etc.

"Sleepers" is the word

Me too
Beautiful lines.

I took the Disco to a very popular auto transmission place to arrange a
service for the auto. Out the front was a gold metalic Corvette
Stingray. Auto was buggered and it was in for a re-build. The guy who
owned the place, that I was talking to, said, "Beautiful looking car,
isn't it?". "It's a pity it is so 'average' to drive, the ride is
terrible!"

Never been in one, so I don't know!

Thanks.

I'll look into it as I'm keen to take a look at what they do.

I've never really liked the "Stingray" bodied Corvette, and always thought
it was bloody ugly. The ride's also not great, but they could go very well
with the right engines. Typical bloated American tank though.

A 4000lb kerb weight for a car with a fiberglass body is insane.
