Thanks John,
I repainted it recently, in the car port, as usual.
This time I painted it the identical colour to this

We owned one exactly the same as that one, only difference is ours had
black leather interior.
Cheers,

Your book is obviously wrong.
The *correct* procedure for changing the oil on a Disco is:
1: Climb under car and assume service position.
2: While holding tools at the ready, have an accomplace push English of car
clear of the service area.
3: While still in the ready position, have accomplace push replacement non
English car into service position.
4: Service replacement non English car while wondering why in the blue ****
you ever bought the English one.
5: Clean service area and dispose of English car upon completion of works.

Hey, if the guy behind the counter told you it's the right stuff I'm sure
you believed him

It's an English car Ron. Toss a coin.

Hi John,
Many thanks for the nice compliment :-)
Have a look at this site, it is surprising what they can do.
http://www.nostalgiacars.co.uk/
They look original, but are modern :-)

Ron

Hey, the same guy tried to talk me into a HiClone.
Damn near bought it, swerling air with petrol similar to swirl chamber in
a Diesel, looked good!
Then I remembered you said they didn't work

I believe they're like that all over now, but years ago when I worked for
them they had workshops.

There might be, but then they're not vehicle service outlets, huh?

Nasty.

Yeah, "buckets" they're commonly called, and it is a prick of a job which is
why most Jag dealers and repairers woulg get us to do it.

Nothing complicated about your average Jag engine either. Reliable is
another story though

I think I've mentioned this once before, but there's a couple af old guys
running a company in New Zealand that makes D type replica's that are so
exact in detail that it takes a Jaguar fancier more than a few minutes to
pick on as being not genuine. Sterling Moss apparenty had a drive of one and
was said to be extremely impressed.
I can't remember where I read about them, but I *think* it might have been
in a copy of "Australian Classic Car" magazine a couple of years ago. I've
looked for the article since then but can't find it as I'd like to call in
next time I'm over there and look at their factory if they'll let me.

Which explains 99% of older Ferrari ownership.

Didn't we all?
I've always loved the 55'-57' Ford Thunderbird myself, and would love to do
a modern "retro" one.
