Opinion / Discussion what is the best looking vehicle on oz roads ?
My vote is still the pagoda roof SL Benzes 250. 280 then even
the S class sl and slcs have retained a "style "
That is still neat
After that the old style Monaros have aged well .
In Current models the new Pugs look great

Presumably you've never driven one (the pagoda roof)?
Grossly underpowered, even by the standards of their era. And those
gear ratios... borrowed straight from a 1950's British truck (and
steered like one as well). Four speed column shift to go with the
gear ratios IIRC.
It's many years ago, but I still count it (a 280) as by far the most
disappointing car I've ever driven (based on performance
expectations). The ultimate polished turd!
The 4-door sedans of the same vintage weren't much either... probably
about the crudest IRS setup of all time (the rear axle was hinged on
one side of the diff IIRC).

Let's not forget that special alloy that was designed to use only
Cherman water with the coolant.

1956 Thunderbird
Friends in Sydney have a next door neighbor who has one in pristine
condition, last time we visited the weather was warm and sunny so he took me
for a spin in it, my wife said it took a week for the shit eating grin to
fade :-)
Modern Cars, I don't think you can go past a McLaren F1.

Hyundai Sonata NF?
For sheer looks I agree with Daz about the AH 3000 (that sports car
line is pure orgasm on wheels) or for a sedan, the Citroen DS19. The
Holden HQ single headlight sedan body design ages well (before the HJ
drew the moustache on the Mona Lisa) and modern cars,
er ............... nup.

Original GT40 for mine. 40 years old now, but still sex on wheels to me and
it has a *real* engine
