Cars I won't own (part 2)!

Second on the list... anything that doesn't come with a proper spare
wheel.

Reason... cos I always seem to need one on frequent occasions.

And I've now eliminated about 90% of the current new car offering.
Gotta wonder just who they're making 'em for these days! ;-)

Might surprise you John, but I agree with you on that one.

Does the Outback come with a full size spare, our Impreza didn't but
luckily it hasn't been needed.
The Hilux's spare has never been on the road after 132,000klms.

Yes... and of those I mentioned in the RACQ "road test" only two cars
did. Unless tyres improve dramatically, there's absolutely no way I'd
ever buy one that didn't!

IIRC you once argued in favour of tyre rotation!!! ;-)

I do make a point of rotating the spare, even if a flat doesn't
achieve it automatically (as is frequently the case). That way the
first set of tyres should go 20% further and you're not left with an
aged spare (for those of us whose cars last forever).

Front to back on the same side is enough:-)

You can still do it that way and only crossover one tyre (the spare).

The system only gets stuffed up if you've had to use it in the
meantime.
