New Jaguar XF price US versus AU
US : 4.2L V8 (base model there) costs $49,950. This equates to about double
the price of a well-specced Honda Accord, which is *very* reasonable.
The equivalent model here is $134,850, which is 2.7 times the US price. For
that money you could get 3 Accord V6s and a 1.5L Jazz.

Must be a more favourable conversion rate between the Rupee and the US
dollar (Bush is probably selling 'em nukes).

You can be a rotting *****ng dwarf crunt at times but we like you.
Good question though is why we pay so much more for the same vehicle
seeing that our dollar isn't as farked as it used to be.. but declining
now as we speak/type. RH drive vehicle must be harder to make, but hey
ain't England RH drive??

It is. Dropped a whole ten cents in the last week and a half.
> RH drive vehicle must be harder to make, but hey ain't England RH drive??
Apparently.
Cost change goes both ways as well. For example, there's a company in
Australia making strut conversions for early Falcons & Mustangs, and they
make the components here. Basic kit for a pair of struts and brakes is 3600
bucks over the counter. The *Same* kit sold in the US through one of their
agents (remember this kit is made here and then shipped to the good ol' US
of A) is 2800 bucks Australian at today's rate.
Nice ****s.

I would expect you now to apologise to DZ for your being such an
arsehole, seeing what he said was indeed on topic and truthful.
This is code because he won't know what arsehole is and apologise is
spelt wrong (according to US spelling).

Re: New Jaguar XF price US versus AU
Has anyone seen the new XF ad? It's kind of odd seeing the steering wheel
on the left hand side - don't the Brits drive on the same side as us?!?!
http://www.jaguar.com.au/au/en/xf/hi...troduction.htm
Does anyone know the tune? It's groovy

My guess is because manufacturers sell less cars here due to smaller market,
they have to put a higher price mark-up per vehicle. I think it's called
"economies of scale"....
